Breakfast session Risk appetite for doing business in Germany

On September 20, we organized the second meeting about doing business in Germany this year. This time in the Parkrestaurant de Waard at the IPKW (Industriepark Kleefse Waard).

While enjoying a fantastic breakfast provided by Kickstart Food Restaurant, participants were informed about the latest commercial, economic and legal developments in the German market. In a very interesting contribution from Johan Geeroms, the Risk Director Benelux of Allianz Trade, he explained how the current recession in Germany effects trade. He provided an extensive insight into the vision of a credit insurer regarding the German economic climate.

Lawyer Wolfgang May of MODINT Credit & Finance has extensively enlightened participants about ‘Insolvenzanfechtung’, what it entails, what consequences it can have for your companie and how you can prevent claims from German trustees and when you are confronted with it, the best way to deal with it.

Lawyer Nicki Welchering from Alpmann Fröhlich presented seizing opportunities in Germany, but also legal risks and pitfalls. Finally, Frank Wöbbeking from Mediamixx explained the cultural differences between the Netherlands and Germany with great examples of how you can and cannot best approach a German company. He also gave some advice on how to best adapt your marketing strategy for the German market.

On a regular basis we organize seminars and information sessions about international business. If you are interested in this, please let us know. You can reach us at info@modintcredit.com.  Or give us a call on more information about exporting, +31 88 5054700.
