Germany Day of DNHK (German-Dutch Chamber of Commerce)
For companies that plan to do business in Germany or are already active on the German market and want to grow and increase their success, the Germany Day is organized annually by DNHK, the day about doing business in Germany. This year it was also held in De Rijtuigenloods in Amersfoort and once again MODINT Credit & Finance was present as an experienced expert and Germany specialist to provide valuable tips and advice to entrepreneurs.
With over 800 visitors, dozens of knowledge and inspiration sessions on topics such as marketing, sustainability and digitalization and a floor full of experts, Germany Day was a successful event for entrepreneurs to get their Germany plans on track.
The role of MODINT Credit & Finance during the Germany Day was, as every year, mainly focused on explaining how to do business safely in Germany, providing information about specific trade risks and how to fully utilise export opportunities.
FENCA (Federation of European National Collection Associations)
FENCA is the federation of European national collection associations and represents the interests of the European sector for credit management, collection and purchase of receivables. Every year, members and international companies come together for the General Assembly, this year we were present in Warsaw, Poland, where this edition was held.
The congress brought together 29 market leaders from 29 countries for enlightening sessions, networking and collaboration. Guest participants from India, Bahrain, Canada, Turkey and the US were also present. This year’s theme was mainly focused on the European Financial Supervision Act and Credit Agreements.
Bundeskongress BvCM (Bundesverband Credit Management e.V.)
MODINT Credit & Finance was present with its German branch at the recent Bundeskongress of the BvCM in Dortmund. This time it was again well attended with the main theme “Challenges for credit management and strategic cooperation with sales”.
In the run-up to this Bundeskongress we participated in a round table discussion of BvCM, about fashion and liquidity where our relation Seidensticker through Dr. Marc Barrantes, CFO, emphasized how important liquidity is. Especially in these times, where receivables are becoming increasingly difficult to insure or on worse conditions, while deteriorating DSO is putting more pressure on working capital. As a result, the factoring possibilities in Germany have decreased significantly and it is important to be able to meet trade finance needs with specific know-how. MODINT Credit & Finance has valuable expertise and network in this area.
Credit Expo
On November 9, Credit Expo took place, the annual knowledge and networking event for the Dutch Credit Management community, with Artificial Intelligence (AI) as its theme this year. During Credit Expo, it became clear that the use of AI has become indispensable in the field of credit management. AI is currently mainly used to improve the quality and efficiency of the order-to-cash process. You also see more and more initiatives to use AI in first-line service. At the same time, human contact remains extremely important. The concise conclusion is that AI is increasingly deployable in large-scale operational processes within the credit management chain. We will continue to follow this development closely.
There are currently concrete initiatives and practical applications in AI in the fashion sector in the field of inventory management, where great advantages can also be achieved with its application in terms of working capital and asset management.
